This cover was a redesign of one of the famous “Outside” magazines. The placement of the text on the cover was intentional, recreating the magazine almost exactly. I decided to keep the “Outside” text colors the same as they were on the original cover, because they went well with the green background. Looking back, this was one of the harder pieces I created, but the time and energy was well spent. This magazine cover is one of my favorite pieces that I’ve ever created, and it will soon be featured in a new book, Graphic Design for Dummies.
